Again I’m in Kyiv.  Христя і діти на таборі біля Чернігова, and I’m amusing myself in Kyiv, working at the local office.

Here’s a completely boring video of my walk along Хрещатик last night… I tend to wander up and down it in the evenings when I’m here, after saying good night to whomever I’m with (which is, invariably, Ігор).  Not sure why I enjoy walking here so much, but I find myself doing it on each visit…

OK, so some more completely random observations, as I amuse myself…

The biggest lemon I’ve ever seen in my life.  Purchased it so that I can make чай з лимоном for my slightly sore throat…

 

Went shopping to a supermarket to find stuff to send the kids at табір – mostly stuff like ковбаса, since they seem to be hungry at times.  Ran into the following display of a haunch of… something.  Seems to be a haunch of свинка, according to what’s written in Spanish on the tag, but I was captivated by the way the display piece was so methodically excavated  to show the inner architecture. Stood staring at it for about 5 minutes, actually…

I know, I need to get a life.
